All for One and One for All
One day Giraffe was walking through the flourishing savanna thinking about all the joys of the world when he suddenly couldn’t move his long legs. He looked down to find out that he was stuck in a trap! He bent his long neck down to the trap and bit at it furiously. It loosened but it would take him about 5 hours to get out of the net and the hunters would probably be there in 5 minutes!
“Help, HELP!” he called agitatedly. No answer. ‘’HELP!” he called again in a panicstricken voice. No answer again. “HHHEEEELLLLPPPPP” he called one last time. No answer, but just as he was about to lose hope, he heard a sound of hooves.
“We’re coming Giraffe!” yelled a voice. The sound of hooves, the voice, Giraffe knew who was coming to his rescue, it’s Zebra family!
“Wassup Giraffe,” said Papa Zebra.
Hey Giraffe, we’ll get you out of that in 5 seconds” said Grandpa Zebra.
The entire Zebra family had heard his calls for help and had come to his rescue! They bit at the net just like Giraffe did but they all had really strong teeth and there were a lot of them! In a few seconds they had gotten the net loose enough that Giraffe could just shake it off his legs.
“Thank you so much!” Giraffe said appreciatively, “Oh, how could I ever repay you?”.
You could get me some…” Zion Zebra and Zaara Zebra said at the same time, but Giraffe only heard what Zrabella said. She said “You could learn how to say my name” (Giraffe turned red at that one).
“No! Kids, you can buy your own things, and Giraffe, just know that helping each other is a part of us being neighbors. Giraffe, how about we walk you home and make you some grass tea?” said Mommy Zebra. They followed Mommy Zebra’s word and went to Giraffe’s house, got him settled down, and then stayed there for a while and that night, Giraffe made up his mind that he was in debt towards the Zebras.
The next day when Giraffe woke up he decided that he would get the Zebras a gift card from the Gazelle Mall, run by his friend, Gazelle. After a short conversation with Gazelle, he bought a gift card and left. A few minutes later he arrived at the Zebra house. Just before he rang the doorbell he saw a note tacked to the door.
Hello- If you haven’t noticed it’s a really nice day outside so we have all gone out for a walk and picnic. We will be back by 2pm earliest and 5pm latest. We’re sorry if there have been any inconveniences. Have a great day!
-Zebras
I guess I’ll just have to give them the present later, Giraffe thought and he started walking home. He was very cautious when he was walking since he had all his senses firing, All of a sudden his hearing sense fired up.
RROOOOOOAAAARRRRRR
“HEEEEEELLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPP”
Giraffe knew those two voices anywhere it was Lion attacking...
“HEELLLPPPP”
The Zebras! Lion was a merciless creature and the Zebras were in his grasp! Lion could only be beaten if he was ambushed! I should ambush him! Giraffe thought, and he ran in the direction of the noise.
RROOOOOOAAAARRRRRR
"HEEEEEELLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPP”
There, Lion! Giraffe stealthily crept up upon Lion and then swung his neck as fast as a rocket and then hit Lion on his side.
“OOOOOWWWWWWWW”
Giraffe made a motion with his neck for them to run to the right and they obeyed and then they kept running. They ran for almost ⅓ of a mile until they stopped.
“Thank you-hhh-so much,” Zrabella said, comforting Zaara who had been sobbing.
“You saved us,” Grandpa Zebra wheezed.
“Now, let me walk all of you home and make all of you some grass tea, and for the little ones some grass candy” said Giraffe, which made Zaara smile a bit.
Thank you, again” Mommy Zebra said.
“My pleasure,” smiled Giraffe.
Then Papa Zebra walked up to him and said, “All for one and one for all”. Then they walked home in harmony having saved each other and they all felt calm with no fear.
